Spanish schools, along with their approximate prices. Each school has it's own strengths, so, if you are interested in a particular
school, please don't let it's price deter you. Look at the location, and then
call, write, or browse the net for more information. Prices were gathered in
July and August of 98.

offers 4 classroom hours per day only. Classes begin at 8:00 a.m. (Monday through Friday) with a coffee break
from 10:00 AM to 10:20 AM. The program of 4 hours per day
ends at 12:00 PM; the 5.5 hour

Antonio, Costa Rica The center offers intensive Spanish language courses in a
total immersion program. La Escuela de Idiomas D'Amore offers six
specific levels of Spanish proficiency to guarantee the student an
appropriate placement. Students range from absolute beginners to advanced
speakers of the language. Most students participate in the month program,
although two and three week courses are also available. Homestay

includes lunch, emphasizes the essential phrases and conversation
that will make a visitor's stay more enjoyable and beneficial. Tips
concerning travel and local customs are given. The cost of this package is

General Costs for Language Study (4 hours/day, 5 days/week of 2-5

"Pura Vida" The school, Instituto de Lenguaje "Pura Vida", is located in Heredia,
a small peaceful community just six miles from the Capitol San Jose.
(Language Classes) $320 per week, (W/O homestay
$230) All classes are taught using immersion methods by Native speakers with
University Degrees and meet every level of skill from "No Spanish
spoken" to Advanced/Superior speakers who wish to improve their
bilingual skills. The total focus is upon the target language and no English
is spoken in the classroom. (Immersion Course) $370.00 per week (W/O homestay $320) This is the most popular program. Usually
seven hours per day, includes language lessons, Homestay
accommodations, afternoon cultural activities such as trips to the market
place, Museums, afternoon dance classes, Costa Rican cooking classes, music
classes, barbecues, evening trips to discos and much more! (Children's
Immersion Classes) $370.00 per week Ages seven to thirteen. Classes are
designed with children's needs in mind; less structure, more fun. Each
child's needs will be met on an individual basis and
