Its big advantage over conventional search engines is that it's structured by some of the world's best and most experienced information retrieval professionals. It also evaluates its linked sources according to criteria like those that would be used for the Britannica, such as the credentials of a site's author or publisher, and its information tree organization -- while it may seem time-consuming at first -- actually saves time by eliminating irrelevancies. Its only shortcoming is that, partly due to its selectivity, it has only about 65,000 sites indexed at present. It will grow, I'm sure, but even as it is it's a major new resource.
